Double board-certified. Fellowship-trained. Facelift specialist.
Dr. Kristina Tansavatdi has performed facial plastic surgery for over 10 years, with a focus on facelift and neck lift procedures that look natural—not "done." She's known for meticulous technique and results that last.
Castle Connolly Top Doctor (2022–2025)
Her specialty: the Deep Plane Facelift—a more advanced technique that lifts deeper tissue for longer-lasting, more natural results with faster recovery than traditional facelifts.
It fixes what bothers you most:
The goal isn't to look different. It's to look like yourself—just more rested and refreshed.
A mini facelift, or SMAS Facelift, targets the lower third of the face, and it is usually recommended when cheek fat sags forward and emphasizes the marionette lines due to the weakness of the SMAS membrane.
A SMAS facelift is less invasive and requires less recovery time than a traditional facelift.
A deep plane facelift is performed beneath the supportive layer of the face, rather than just operating on the skin. Basically, a deep plane facelift repositions the tissues rather than pulling on them—which means the skin isn’t pulled taut and the patient doesn’t look too “operated on”. Deep plane facelift results also last longer, since correction goes deeper.
A revision facelift, also called a secondary facelift, is a facelift performed on a patient who has previously undergone the surgery and wants to improve their appearance.
In the hands of a skilled and artistic facial surgeon like Dr. Tansavatdi, a revision facelift will have beautiful and natural looking results.
Not sure which procedure you need? Here's the difference:
Best for: Sagging skin, muscle banding, and excess fat
A neck lift addresses the full picture—loose skin, fat, and the underlying muscle. Dr. Tansavatdi tightens the platysma muscle, removes or reshapes fat, and re-drapes the skin for a smoother, more defined neck and jawline.
Best for: Unwanted fat only—with good skin tone
Liposuction removes fat beneath the chin and along the jawline, but it won't tighten loose skin or muscles. It's a faster procedure with less downtime, but results are more limited.
She only focuses on faces.
Most plastic surgeons operate on the entire body. Dr. Tansavatdi has spent her entire career focused on the face and neck—thousands of procedures over nearly a decade.
Credentials Double board-certified, fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon.
Her philosophy A great facelift is one no one can tell you had. Every procedure is tailored to your anatomy—no cookie-cutter approach.
