Trust is at the center of every surgical relationship. Patients choose Dr. Kristina Tansavatdi not only for her surgical expertise, but for the way she listens, studies, and plans. As a double board-certified, fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Tansavatdi has dedicated her practice to the face and neck. Her work is guided by an understanding of facial anatomy, aging, proportion, expression, and the emotional significance of facial change.
During consultation, she does not simply ask which procedure you want. She listens to why you are seeking care, what has changed, what you hope to feel, and what outcome would still feel like you. She studies your face in real time and often reviews photographs from earlier years to understand how your features have changed over time. This process allows her to recommend the right procedure — or combination of procedures — based on your anatomy, goals, lifestyle, and long-term facial balance. Sometimes that means surgery. Sometimes it means a more conservative approach. Sometimes it means explaining why a requested procedure may not create the result you want. That honesty is part of the care.

A brow lift restores a more open and rested appearance to the upper face by repositioning the brow. Dr. Tansavatdi customizes brow lift surgery to avoid a surprised or artificial look, focusing instead on natural elevation, improved eyelid balance, and a refreshed expression. Brow lift surgery may be recommended on its own or combined with upper eyelid surgery, ptosis repair, facelift, or full face rejuvenation.

Chin augmentation improves balance between the chin, jawline, neck, and facial profile. A chin implant may be used to enhance projection and support the lower face, but Dr. Tansavatdi evaluates the chin in relation to the entire face before recommending surgery. Chin augmentation may be combined with rhinoplasty, neck liposuction, deep neck contouring, neck lift, or facelift surgery when appropriate.

Deep neck contouring addresses fullness or poor definition beneath the chin that is not caused by superficial fat alone. This procedure may involve deeper work beneath the platysma muscle, including anterior digastric reduction in select patients. Dr. Tansavatdi may recommend deep neck contouring when neck liposuction alone would not create enough improvement.

Ear surgery may include otoplasty, earlobe repair, lobuloplasty, or earlobe reduction. Otoplasty reshapes or repositions prominent ears, while lobuloplasty repairs stretched, torn, or elongated earlobes. Dr. Tansavatdi customizes each procedure based on the anatomy of the ear or earlobe and the degree of correction needed.

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can address heaviness, puffiness, skin laxity, and aging changes around the eyes. Upper eyelid surgery may be combined with brow lift or ptosis repair when drooping is caused by more than excess skin. Lower eyelid surgery may address puffiness, hollowness, skin texture, or the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek.

Neck liposuction is reserved for select patients, usually younger individuals with good skin elasticity and localized, pinchable fat directly beneath the chin. It is not designed to treat loose skin, deeper neck fullness, poor neck anatomy, or aging-related neck laxity. If the concern is deeper or more structural, Dr. Tansavatdi may recommend deep neck contouring, chin augmentation, neck lift, or facelift and neck lift surgery instead.

Facelift surgery is one of Dr. Tansavatdi’s core specialties. She offers advanced facial rejuvenation techniques, including deep plane facelift, endoscopic deep plane facelift, revision facelift, and full face rejuvenation. Her facelift philosophy is based on restoring facial structure, expression, and identity — not pulling the face tight or creating an overdone appearance.

Facial fat transfer, also known as facial fat grafting, uses a patient’s own fat to restore volume in areas affected by aging, hollowing, or structural depletion. It may be used in the temples, cheeks, under-eyes, jawline, lips, or other areas depending on the surgical plan. Dr. Tansavatdi uses fat transfer carefully to restore support and softness without creating a heavy or overfilled look.

Surgical lip augmentation can improve lip volume, shape, and support in a way that is more long-lasting than injectable filler. Dr. Tansavatdi most often uses mastoid fascia grafts to provide natural-looking, longer-lasting lip volume while preserving softness and movement. In select patients, fat transfer may also be considered, but the best technique depends on the patient’s anatomy, tissue quality, goals, and Dr. Tansavatdi’s recommendation. The goal is not to create an exaggerated or trend-driven lip shape. It is to enhance the lips in a way that remains balanced with the rest of the face.

A lip lift shortens the distance between the nose and upper lip to improve upper lip visibility, tooth show, and facial balance. Dr. Tansavatdi customizes the amount of lift based on each patient’s anatomy to avoid an unnatural or overly shortened appearance. A lip lift may be performed alone or combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures.

A neck lift addresses loose skin, muscle banding, deeper neck support, and loss of definition along the jawline and neck. It is often performed with a facelift because the lower face and neck age together. Dr. Tansavatdi may also combine neck lift surgery with deep neck contouring when deeper anatomy contributes to fullness beneath the chin.

Rhinoplasty, also known as nose surgery, reshapes or reconstructs the nose to improve facial balance, breathing, or both. Dr. Tansavatdi performs rhinoplasty for both women and men, with a focus on natural-looking results that fit the patient’s face. She also performs revision rhinoplasty for select patients who need correction after prior nose surgery.

Ptosis repair corrects a drooping upper eyelid caused by weakness or stretching of the levator muscle. Many patients believe they only need upper eyelid surgery when they actually have ptosis or a combination of ptosis and excess skin. Dr. Tansavatdi often performs ptosis repair with upper blepharoplasty, brow lift, facelift, or full face rejuvenation when appropriate.
During your consultation, Dr. Kristina Tansavatdi will review your medical history, evaluate your anatomy, listen to your goals, and determine whether facial plastic surgery is appropriate. Candidacy depends on your health, anatomy, expectations, recovery needs, and whether surgery is the right way to address your concern.
Dr. Tansavatdi begins by listening. She wants to understand what you are noticing, how long it has bothered you, and what kind of result would still feel like you. She then evaluates your facial structure, skin, volume, muscle support, and overall balance to determine which procedure or combination of procedures best fits your anatomy.
Yes. Many facial plastic surgery procedures can be combined when it is safe and appropriate. Combining procedures may create a more cohesive result and streamline recovery. Dr. Tansavatdi will advise whether procedures should be combined or staged based on your anatomy, goals, health, and recovery plan.
That is the goal. Dr. Tansavatdi’s philosophy is to preserve your essence, expression, and natural facial identity. Surgery should help you look more rested, balanced, and confident — not like a different person.
You do not need to know exactly which procedure is right before consultation. Many patients come in with a concern, such as heavy eyelids, a soft jawline, or an aging neck, and Dr. Tansavatdi helps identify the underlying cause. The consultation is designed to guide you toward the most appropriate plan.
Tansavatdi Facial Plastic Surgery is women-led. While team members may change over time and may include both women and men, the leadership and philosophy of the practice are rooted in thoughtful, supportive, patient-centered care.
No. While much of the practice philosophy is centered on supporting women through facial aging and rejuvenation, Dr. Tansavatdi also treats men for select procedures, including rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, neck contouring, and other face and neck concerns.
Dr. Tansavatdi specializes in the face and neck, takes time to understand each patient, and creates surgical plans based on anatomy, proportion, identity, and long-term balance. The practice is built around honest consultation, natural-looking outcomes, and helping patients feel like themselves — not someone else.
