What Is Skin Resurfacing?
Skin resurfacing is a minimally invasive skin treatment designed to reduce wrinkles, improve the texture and strength of the skin, and address blemishes such as age spots or acne scars. Skin resurfacing also tightens and firms the skin, leaving it looking more youthful, fresh, and radiant.
Skin resurfacing can be accomplished with a variety of treatments. We provide treatments that dramatically boost collagen production through a combination of effective microneedling and RF energy, which heats the underlying layers of skin and further triggers the body to produce new, fresh, and elastic skin.

What Can I Expect During the Skin Resurfacing Procedure?
We will provide a topical anesthetic before your treatment to ensure you’re comfortable.
Once the topical numbing cream and any additional measures added for your comfort are in place, we will apply the handpiece to the targeted areas.
The fine needles will penetrate the skin, creating micro-injuries. While this is happening, the RF energy will be delivered through the needles. You will feel a warming sensation, and a cooling device may be simultaneously used during the treatment.
Enhancing Your Treatment
Once the RF microneedling is complete, we may apply active topical ingredients, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM) to achieve increased benefits, as the skin absorbs these more deeply after microneedling.
Your treatment may take thirty minutes to an hour, depending on the depth of treatment and the number of areas being treated. We recommend at least three treatments to achieve optimal results.
Am I a Good Candidate for Skin Resurfacing?
Skin resurfacing with RF Microneedling is for men or women with mild to moderate skin laxity, early jowls, fine lines and wrinkles, and other skin concerns. This treatment is generally safe for all skin types and colors. You are likely an ideal candidate if you meet the following requirements:
- You are generally in good health
- You have no current breakouts or skin infections
- You do not smoke
- Your skin laxity is not severe
- You do not have an excessive neck wattle
- You do not have very low, hanging jowls
