Dr. Tansavatdi will make an incision at the temple, just above the hairline. This incision will extend downward and will be hidden along the natural creases of the skin, curving behind the ears. Once this is complete, the tissue and muscle beneath the skin will be lifted and moved into a higher position. Excess skin will be removed, and the skin will be placed back over the face. The incisions will be closed with sutures, and most of the scars will be hidden within the hair and natural creases of the skin.
Downtime and post-care
After your SMAS facelift, you will have a wrapping around your head that will need to be removed the following day.
