Swelling and bruising will be more significant during the first several days after your surgery. After this point, the swelling and bruising will begin to substantially subside.
After about two weeks, most of the remaining swelling will have reduced. While you will feel recovered, the fat tissues will still be settling into their final position in your face. Some of the fat cells will be absorbed by your body after transfer during this period. This is a natural and expected part of your healing after your procedure. It may take up to 4-6 months for your final results to be completely realized.
