Serving Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Malibu, Calabasas and Santa Barbara
Botox® is made of a neurotoxin, botulinum toxin type A. It is used to temporarily paralyze wrinkle-causing facial muscles, thereby halting the aging process and diminishing existing telltale signs of aging. BOTOX® is an excellent treatment option for individuals who wish to reduce the appearance of frown lines or “furrows” between the eyebrows and horizontal lines across the forehead. BOTOX® can also be used for crow’s feet and unsightly neck bands.
Botox® is administered at Dr. Tansavatdi’s Westlake Village plastic surgery practice and requires only a 10 to 15-minute office visit. Patients are able to return to their usual activities right away. Subtle swelling or bruising at the injection sites is common and subsides quickly over 24 to 48 hours. Botox® results are not immediate and will take two to seven days to take effect. Results last anywhere from three to six months.
Am I A Candidate For Botox®?
In order to determine each patient’s candidacy for Botox®, Dr. Tansavatdi carefully examines the areas of concerns and the patient’s medical history. The number of units and treatment areas are individualized to each patient.
Botox® delivers optimal wrinkle-diminishing results and are excellent non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment options for men and women seeking subtle, yet effective anti-aging procedures. Dr. Tansavatdi is highly skilled in administering facial injectables and has an excellent track record of patient safety and satisfactory results.

Botox® Before & After Photos
Xeomin® is a neurotoxin similar to Botox®. In fact, Xeomin® contains the active botulinum toxin Type A alone without the additives found in Botox®. This may make it less likely for you to develop antibodies against Xeomin® than other available neurotoxins. The onset and duration are comparable to Botox® and you can expect to see results within one week and results lasting 3-6 months. Xeomin® has been approved by the US FDA for the treatment of cervical dystonia and blepharospasm and, recently, in 2011 for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, or frown lines between the eyebrows, in adult patients. The risks of Xeomin® are the same as for Botox® including bleeding and bruising at the injection site, botulinum toxin products may spread from the area where they were injected to other parts of the body, causing potentially life-threatening swallowing and breathing problems, and allergic reactions such as itching, swelling or shortness of breath may occur.
Dysport® is a prescription facial injection for temporary improvement in the appearance of frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. It is an abobotulinumtoxinA that works similarly to Botox® blocking muscle movement from occuring, resulting in less lines and wrinkles due to overactive muscle activity. The onset and duration are comparable to Botox® and Xeomin® and you can expect to see results within one week and results lasting 3-6 months. The risks of Dysport® are the same as for Botox® and Xeomin® including bleeding and bruising at the injection site, botulinum toxin products may spread from the area where they were injected to other parts of the body, causing potentially life-threatening swallowing and breathing problems, and allergic reactions such as itching, swelling or shortness of breath may occur.
